Following
consultation, examination, assessment for suitability and
consent, the colour of your teeth is measured using the Vita
Tooth Shade Guide.
The teeth and mouth are then prepared for treatment by placing
a cheek retractor into your mouth to hold your lips and tongue
away from your teeth. A protective light gum dam is then applied
to the gums for protection during treatment.
Our specially formulated whitening gel is then carefully applied
to the teeth and activated by our blue light for 2-10 minute
cycles. The light is a specially designed laser lamp that
shines soft blue light onto your teeth to activate the whitening
gel which accelerates the whitening process. Blue light emits
little heat and no harmful UV light which ensures natural,
uniform results.
At the end of the treatment the teeth are then re-assessed
using the Vita Tooth Shade Guide to determine the increase
in whiteness.
