after care instructions |
|
To
be followed for the first 48 hours.
To maximise your whitening results and to minimise sensitivity
reactions it is very important that you follow these instructions
as closely as possible.
For the first 3 hours following your teeth whitening session,
avoid food and drink only water. Over the next 48 hours, as
rehydration occurs, your teeth will continue to lighten. It
is during this time that teeth are particularly vulnerable
to restaining and therefore, within this time, avoid food
and beverages such as
- coffee/tea
- tobacco products
- mustard/ketchups
- cola
- red wine
- berries
- red sauce
It is normal to experience some tooth and/or gum sensitivity
following the teeth whitening procedure, however sensitivity
should subside within a few days.
Avoid very hot and cold drinks for the first 24 hours if any
tooth sensitivity exist. Should sensitivity occur, over the
counter painkillers should alleviate the symptons and you
should brush with a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
